I think that’s a fairer categorisation than “The Three Body Problem”1, but when you’ve been kicking around the space for a couple of decades, there are certainly occasions when you question exactly this. It’s a fairer categorisation because:
- Glass half full always beats glass half empty
- Nothing in life is truly insoluble
So what are the three halves / bodies in question? In essence they are the creation of new knowledge, overall societal interest, and economic gain. Broadly speaking, these are personified as Academia, Government, and Industry.
